About the Opportunity

You will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end solutions for the InflexionRx platform. You will be the driving force for ensuring optimised code is written by the team in line with the design and architecture of the platform using an Agile-based development methodology. You will collaborate closely with multiple development and testing teams. Responsibilities also include coaching InflexionRx teams to self-organise and create high-value products and remove any impediments to their progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Analysis: Analysing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives
  • Solution Design: Designing and developing scalable, extensible and secure enterprise applications, end-to-end interfaces and complete software solutions; creating and maintaining architecture and high-level design documents.
  • Time Management: Finding ways to improve the efficient use of time; consistently meeting deadlines and successfully multi-tasking
  • Professionalism: Using both formal and informal processes to gain feedback on performance and development; developing technical expertise to meet strategic priorities and business requirements
  • Work Ethic: Consistently delivering to expectations and commitments, meeting or exceeding agreed standards by coming up with new ways to overcome challenging circumstances; tracking progress and resolving issues promptly where necessary
  • Patience and Empathy: Working with executives from other functions with patience and empathy
  • Effective Communication: Developing and maintaining effective and proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders; communicating project risks in a timely manner; having the confidence to effectively demonstrate processes and provide guidance where needed
  • Team Management: Assisting in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organisational resources to improve capacity for project work; mentoring and developing team members
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshooting complex problems, identifying the root cause and permanently correcting it, leaving the code better and easier to maintain than when you found it
  • Go-to Person: Being the technical ‘go-to’ person for solutions to cloud, mobility, data pipeline, product architecture and product implementation issues; making trade-off decisions at the application level

Required Experience and Skills

  • 10-14 years of relevant experience; a minimum of 4 years of extensive technical manager or technical architect experience is mandatory
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science
  • Extensive experience in designing and developing software applications using OOPs principles and design patterns in an Agile environment
  • Expertise in hands-on full stack development, including Micro Services, Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, RESTful API, JavaScript technologies (jQuery, Angular/React, NodeJS, etc.), NoSQL, RDBMS, messaging and server components
  • Experience in machine learning and AI technologies, or the ability to be a quick learner
  • Experience in automation of team development, test, deployment and operations processes
  • Proven leadership and motivation skills and the ability to maintain high levels of energy and engagement
  • Experience using Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in the pharma industry is a big plus
