As a Business Analyst and CRM Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and optimising our CRM system, Salesforce, to streamline sales operations and drive data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with Finance, IT, Practices, and other teams to ensure the effective use of sales tools, integrating CRM data with other systems to enhance pipeline management, support effective business and resource planning and provide valuable insights. Your focus will include ensuring that CRM data aligns with data from other systems, analysing and reporting on this to identify trends, and offering actionable insights to improve business performance. Additionally, you will support CRM system training, assist with the rollout of new features or updates, and ensure the integrity of data within the system to optimise processes, align with broader business objectives, and achieve organisational goals.

Example Responsibilities

CRM System Management: Provide day-to-day support for Salesforce, including system configuration, updates, troubleshooting, and ensuring it aligns with business needs.

CRM Training and Change Management: Provide training on Salesforce features, best practices, and workflows to ensure effective use of the CRM system across teams. Support the communication, rollout, and adoption of new CRM features or updates, ensuring smooth transitions and addressing user feedback to drive engagement and system effectiveness.

Sales Process Support: Support client teams in managing and tracking the sales/business development process, ensuring CRM data is consistently updated and accurate to facilitate effective business and resource planning.

Pipeline and Opportunity Management: Monitor and manage the pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, tracking of opportunities, and identifying any bottlenecks to maintain pipeline health and sales performance

Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse and generate reports based on CRM data, comparing and integrating findings with data from other systems, such as project management tools or timesheets, to deliver a comprehensive view of business performance. Ensure a clear understanding of how reports and associated insights are interrelated, drawing connections between CRM data and other metrics to provide actionable recommendations that support forecasting, pipeline management, and overall decision-making.

Performance Tracking and Reporting: Track sales performance against goals, and other key metrics, providing reports, insights, and recommendations to optimise performance and achieve business objectives.

Process and Workflow Optimisation: Document, maintain, and streamline processes and workflows to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across the teams, identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Practices, Finance, IT, and other teams to ensure seamless integration between Salesforce and other systems, ensuring CRM outputs align with broader business processes and data requirements.
Education, Experience, Knowledge & Other Skills
The following criteria outline the minimum hiring criteria for this position, unless otherwise stipulated below as “preferred,” or “a plus.”

Undergraduate or advanced degree in business, marketing or a related discipline, with 4 or more years’ sales operations, CRM management, or related experience.

Strong proficiencies with Salesforce CRM required. This includes the ability to report and analyse CRM-related data, work within the system and make basic system changes and be able to liaise with Salesforce and/or other related agencies to lead required platform changes/enhancements.

Experience analysing data from various sources to extract insights, identify trends, and drive performance improvements across different data sets.

Strong knowledge of sales principles, pipeline management, and operational workflows, with the ability to optimise processes and support cross-functional teams

Knowledge of the management consulting and/or life sciences industry is preferred

Communication: strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Track record of proactive communication in the work environment, including proactively seeking feedback to improve capabilities. Understands varying cross-functional roles and responsibilities and adapts communications accordingly. Communicates technical information in a manner that others can assimilate

Collaboration: strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work well within teams. Knows how to identify and leverage diversity within teams
