Position Overview

 

As a Senior Research Analyst, your time will be divided as follows:

  • 80% on conducting secondary research and analytics and maintaining data repositories
  • 10% on building and maintaining knowledge assets
  • 10% Coaching and mentoring of the analysts

You will be responsible for supporting the data gathering, analysis and insight creation across your specialised disease area. The Senior Research Analyst position requires an understanding of the evolving biopharmaceutical market and trends. Knowledge of drug development and commercialisation is also required.

 

  • Reporting: You will report to a Research Manager within Prescient’s India office.

Example Responsibilities

  • Secondary Data Analytics: Source, analyse and report published information, be it scientific, clinical, commercial,  or regulatory
  • Analysis and Reporting: Independently analyse and synthesise findings, and develop insights and implications, to create deliverables and daily alerts t on the topics in focus, with limited supervision of a senior member of the team
  • Maintenance of Knowledge Assets: Build data repositories linked to specific therapeutic areas, market dynamics and regulatory dynamics
  • Task Management: Plan and execute data research and analysis under the guidance of other members of the DnA team
  • Internal Communication: Collaborate with members of own team and other Prescient business teams to ensure effective data and insights delivery
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Develop subject matter expertise in the assigned therapeutic area

 

 

 

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Other Skills

 

The following criteria outline the minimum hiring criteria for this position, unless otherwise stipulated below as “preferred,” or “a plus.”

 

  • Graduate or advanced degree in life sciences, data sciences, business, or a related discipline, with 3 or more years’ life sciences' research and analytics experience, which may include pharma consulting, pharma business intelligence, working with drug/indication databases, pharma data analytics, etc. Experience working in oncology, immunology, or biosimilars is preferred. An advanced degree may be required
  • Advanced knowledge of our business and the fundamental practices, principles, and tools used in management consulting, as evidenced by increasing independence in completing assigned work
  • Sound knowledge of our clients and their needs and objectives, as evidenced by increased speed and accuracy in delivering assigned work and the ability to suggest value-added opportunities
  • Where applicable, demonstrates strong knowledge of relevant therapeutic / disease areas, functional areas such as pricing /access, manufacturing, etc., markets / regions, and/or industry trends such as personalized healthcare, biosimilars, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of the life sciences industry, including drug development and approval processes, and is able to parlay this into consistently effective DnA deliverables
  • Understands how to perform primary market research and access and appropriately use secondary market research
  • Knows how to perform key analytical operations, such as data synthesis, data analysis and data visualisation
  •  Quality Centricity: demonstrable quality-oriented mindset and approach with a high level of attention-to-detail

Track record of proactive communication in the work environment, including proactively seeking feedback to improve capabilities.
