You will be part of a fast-growing PE-backed business that allows high-performing employees to make an impact and contribute to growing the business. You will have the chance to channel your experience into supporting the development of our enterprise software system.

 

You will be responsible for designing and developing web applications. Your primary focus will be developing server-side web application logic, definition and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend. You will also be responsible for integrating the frontend elements built by the UI team into the application.

·         Bring user interface ideas and identifying web-based user interactions.

·         Participating in front-end design and implement the same to support highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.

·         Participating in requirements gathering and functional specification activities.

·         Reviewing application requirements and ensuring the feasibility of UI/UX designs.

·         Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.

·         Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones.

·         Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design.

·         Building sustainable and scalable code.

·         Proactive in identifying system risks, and software reliability.

·         Monitoring and improving front-end performance and scalability.

·         Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes to timely detection and correction of errors.

·         Documenting application changes, developing updates and write technical specifications for other team members.

 

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Other Skills

 

The following criteria outline the minimum hiring criteria for this position, unless otherwise stipulated below as “preferred,” or “a plus.”

 

·         Bachelor's or master's level qualification in computer engineering, computer science or an equivalent technical degree.

·         4 -6 years of work experience in a similar position.

·         In-depth knowledge of React JS including tools like Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.

·         Understanding of Node JS, NPM and Express.

·         Understanding of NextJS (MVC framework of React JS).

·         Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages with understanding of server-side CSS.

·         Proficiency in browser rendering behaviours and performance with knowledge of the main components such as Virtual DOM, JSX, etc.

·         Understanding of responsive and adaptive design for a scalable application.

·         Good understanding of accessibility and security compliance.

·         Excellent troubleshooting skills and have experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.

·         Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.

·         Excellent problem-solving, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.

·         Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git or Bitbucket.
